Goodbye 2020 and Hello New Year!

As we’ve talked with hundreds of our clients, friends and family this year, so many have a story of how 2020 was full of heartbreak, sadness, depression, loss, debt and so much more.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

As we begin to look forward to 2021 (and the end of 2020) it’s important to get clear on what you want to create in your life. As we’ve learned through so many self-help, spiritual, and mental health professionals over the last two decades, there are many tried and true ways that you can manifest everything that you want

But the key to unlocking any of these methods is to get clear on what you truly want.

Let me repeat that. What. Do. You. Want? Do you truly know?

The following 3 techniques can serve as a solid foundation for you in 2021. Especially if you’re looking to bring peace to your life and to radiate that positive energy to everyone around you.


Find a quiet place; somewhere that doesn’t provide too many distractions. Sit in a comfortable position where you can feel grounded and fully supported.

Then begin to take in long, deep belly breaths, inhaling and then exhaling slowly. Start to calm the noise in your mind and focus on a positive intention or mantra. Any time your mind starts to wander, bring yourself back to your breath or mantra. If there are noises around you, let them be and bring yourself back to your breath.

You can start with just 2 or 3 minutes each day. You may be surprised at the calming, centering effects of even a single, deep intentional breath. As you start to experience a more calm and quiet mind, you will be able to notice your true desires and a deeper connection with your intuition and true self.

Be Present.

Learn this trick, and nothing will affect you the same way again. Learn to live in the moment by practicing with small events that happen in your life.

Forgive someone who bumps into you and apologizes. Let go of old grudges and resentments. Spend time with family and friends. Do the things you love!

Be intentional with your thoughts, and always focus on the good things that you want to attract into your life.

We decide what’s good and what’s bad, so be sure to focus only on positive things — and positive things will present themselves to you.

Express Gratitude

We live in a world that can sometimes seem a little glum. Why not brighten your day or someone else’s by expressing a little bit of gratitude for what you do have in your life already — rather than grasping for what you don’t have.

Holding the door for someone behind you is thoughtful, but saying ‘thank you’ to someone who holds the door for you is an expression of gratitude. Keep these little expressions of gratitude up each day, and soon you’ll find yourself living a brighter, happier life. Everyone else around you will begin to notice your energy, too.

On to 2021…

The new year is a time for reinvention, but this coming year is especially important for us in so many ways! As gay, bisexual or transgender men, we certainly know what reinvention means. So, it’s up to us to bring into our lives the positive things and the positive changes that we deserve!
